EXTRUSION Extrusion is an continuous process for manufacturing of endless products such as strips, pipes, hoses, plates, films and various profiles. Polybase are specialised in extrusion of profiles and strips. In the process of extrusion, the raw material (plastics) is melted in a extruder and then pressed trough a tool with the same shape as the final product. In a cooling tool (calibration unit) the profile is cooled down and shaped into it's final shape. The profile is finally cut/sawed to it's right length. Coextrusion If one or more extruders are connected with the tool, it's called coextrusion. With this technique you're opened up a door to even bigger opportunities. For example it's possible to extrude a sealing directly onto a window profile, or a profile can be extruded in different colours. During or after the line of production a lot of finishing can be done on the product, such as drilling, milling, bending, punching, marking etc. FINISHING Besides the actually extrusion of profiles there is a wide range of other operations that we are able to do, inline or afterwards, that will increase the value of the product. The possibilities are many, take a look at some examples: Mechanical operations: Punching, drilling, milling. Treat with heat: Welding, curving, bending. Chemical processing: Gluing. Application: Addition of tape, protected film, magnets. Marking: Stamping with heat, stamping with struchture, marking with ink. Engrave/Armament: Armament with different metallic bands. INJECTION MOULDING In opposite to extrusion, injection moulding is an continuous process. A process where products are produced piece by piece. Our goal is to become a total supplier of ready to run solutions, therefore we construct and build tools for details that can complement our profiles. Such as: Lids, plugs and corner profiles etc. TOOLS Production of tools is one of the most important parts in the line of profile extruding business. It will decide the final quality and price of the product. Polybase have a long and great experience in developing and manufacturing of high quality extrusion tools. We have our own construction- and tool department for producing all sorts of profile tools, from the most simplest to the most advanced, from small ones to a width of up to 500 mm. We produce tools for all plastic materials suited for profile extrusion. You can find most of them in our Material Guide. Our developing department construct in AutoCAD, this makes it easy and smooth working with our clients. The construction drawings is sent to our workshop for CAM processing. Workshop All the tools are being made in our workshop, which have all the necessary equipment for tool production, such as CAM-software, EDM and wire EDM machines, milling machines, turning machines etc Our goal is to become a total supplier of ready to run solutions, therefore we also produce injection moulding tools for making accessories to our profiles, such as lids, plugs and corner profiles etc.
